Fall Fishing Report

Deep sea fishing Jupiter Florida

"Charter Fishing Palm Beach, FL Catch of the Month"

With the Fall comes what the locals call the "mullet run". Millions of mullet mirate down the beach and up the river. There are so many they look like a shadow in the water and schools of fish can be seen in rolling waves on the beach. All these mullet are truely a sight to see. The only thing more impressive than the school of mullet are the predators chasing them.

This time of year, we catch fish almost everywhere. We begin by targeting sharks, Kingfish, Snook, Jacks and even Tarpon on the beach and around the inlets in the mornings. Next, we usually move to the Juno Hump where the Mutton and Yellowtail Snapper bite is hot under the kingfish. The Kings eat the bait and the Snapper below eat the scraps as they fall to the bottom.

From there, we might move a few miles offshore where after a quick ride the bottom drops from 100' to 300' in just a short distance. Once there, we usually put up a kite dangling live bait at the surface. The sight of a Goggle-eye thrashing at the surface quickly attracts Mahi, Cobia and Sailfish. The pelagic bite starts heating up in preperation for the winter cold fronts that mean multiple hookups on Sailfish.

Fall is one of the best times of the year for chartering a deep sea fishing trip in Florida. There are still plenty of open dates, call and book now for the trip of a lifetime.
