Jupiter Charter Fishing Report

Deep sea fishing Jupiter Florida

"Spring in Palm Beach Means GREAT Offshore Fishing

Spring is one of the best times of the year to book a fishing charter here in Jupiter and the Palm Beaches. The days are growing longer giving us more time to fish. It's always sunny and mild with a steady breeze. The water is a perfect temperature, warming up from the winter cold fronts but not yet a bath tub from the summer heat.

With this great weather comes amazing fishing. We're starting to switch over from Goggle Eyes for bait under a kite to Blue Runners and Sardines. During the winter, we primarily target Sailfish, but now that Spring is here we have a whole new menu of fish to target. Mahi are starting to migrate thru and there's nothing as beautiful as a Bull Mahi leaping in the air with his bright yellows, greens and blues in full display. Well, a bull and a cow might be more exciting!

There is a ton of bait in the ocean these days. And where you find bait, you find Kingfish which is the staple of the local smoked fish dip. The bait and the Kingfish are just part of the cycle of life in our local waters. When the Kings hit the bait, scraps sink to the bottom and where there's scraps on the bottom, you can usually find Mutton and Yellowtail Snapper. Finally, one of my favorites to target this time of year are Cobia. Their thick white meat is perfect for grilling, blackening, baking or deep frying. They're one of the best tasting fish in the ocean.

So, if you're looking to catch fish, now is the time. Let Captain Tom and Tom Cat Fishing show you how it's done. There are still plenty of open dates, call and book now for the trip of a lifetime.
